Argentina is the 8th largest country in the world and not surprisingly harbors an immense diversity of birds, exceeding 1,000 species. This tour focuses on some of the best birding and wildlife areas the country has to offer. We will travel through and bird watch in two signature landscapes of Argentina, including the distinct Pampas (home of the gaucho) where verdant grasslands stretch endlessly and continue to the vast emptiness of Patagonia, which harbors a surprising number of birds and other wildlife. In between, we will bird remnant woodlands, productive wetlands, ocean shores, glacier fed lakes and the ancient beech forests of the far south.
