Sara Sedriks, Chef

Sara Sedriks is a Chef and Instructor in Fairbanks, AK. After graduating from Johnson & Wales University, in Charleston, SC, she decided to use her degree to facilitate her traveling and experiencing the country. 18 years later, she has worked in restaurants, resorts and as a private Chef in 9 states.  Her experience at some of the countries most prominent restaurants has taught her the importance of using innovation and creativity, as well as local and organic ingredients. In 2015 she came to Alaska to create a culinary job training program for people that face barriers to employment. Since then she has enabled dozens of Alaskans to gain entry into foodservice. Last summer, Chef Sara had her first remote cooking adventure. There she cooked for 2 dozen people at Yukon-Charley Rivers National Preserve, a remote former gold dredge.  She loves the adventure of planning, transporting and preparing the best, freshest food possible in the most remote places.
