South Texas and Lower Rio Grande Valley Birding Trip Report 2013

We completed our South Texas and Lower Rio Grande trip with about 175 species, not bad considering how dry it has been there. It was also about 30 degrees below normal temperature–quite a contrast from previous hot and humid years. Some birds of note: Whooping Crane; Ferruginous Pygmy-Owl; Flammulated Owl; Red-billed Pigeon; White-collared Seedeater.
